The Greatest Sin

“Those who do not understand that the Jnana-Guru is

the Formless Supreme Space, though He appears in the human form,

are the chief amongst all the vilest sinners and criminals.”

                                 — Guru Vachaka Kovai

Jnana ( ज्ञान  ) is a word that originates from Sanskrit.   Jnana means ‘knowledge gained by being in an immersive experience of Divine Reality’.   So, a Jnana-Guru is a spiritual teacher who has ‘touched’ and can abide in the true nature of the Divine.

So, basically what this quote is saying is that: Humans that don’t recognize other humans that fully embody the Divine Spirit of God in its purest form, are the most unpleasant of creatures.

I would personally boil this down one more level and say: That any human that doesn’t recognize the Spirit of God in others, doesn’t recognize the Spirit of God in themselves and therefore are the most unpleasant and destructive people to be with.

In the Bible, there is one sin that is the greatest and most unforgiveable of all sins.  That is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.  Jesus said “… but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin.”

So not recognizing the Spirit of God in ourselves or in others is an eternal sin.

It is an eternal sin, because until we recognize our true nature, we are separated from our true Divine nature.  And that is an eternal choice.  We don’t know our true purpose.  We don’t have knowledge of our true purpose.   We don’t have Jnana of our true nature. We don’t have experiential knowledge of the Holy Spirit.

So, when we don’t recognize the Divinity of our true nature, we are like a two-year-old with a loaded gun.   The potential for creating harm to ourselves and others is great.  It is like playing Monopoly and thinking the game is real.   Trying to scrape and take as much as we can from our opponents, so we can have it all, regardless of the consequences to others.

Therefore, when we ignore the Holy Spirit, which animates each of us, we are not only creating harm, we are tearing down the Divine Nature we all live in.   Not just on this Earth, but through all the realms.  We are destroying Heaven.    We are not in sync and in unison with the Divine Unfolding.

This is serious stuff!

This has nothing to do with our belief systems.   We can be an atheist, an agnostic, a Christian, a Muslim, a Hindu, a Jew, a Buddhist.    It doesn’t matter what religion or non-religion we ascribe to.

Love is heart based, not belief based!

It is about recognizing the love in our hearts, the hearts around us and the hearts of the All.   And therefore, acting out of that love.

We must awaken to Ourselves!

When we die and we get to review our lives, our sadness won’t be around how much money we didn’t make.   Our sadness will be around how we didn’t use our gifts to create in love.    And sadness around how we didn’t treat each other with love and respect.    That includes how we treat ourselves.

In  Summary                                                                                                                         Live from your heart, your intuition, acknowledge your goodness, practice simple acts of kindness to yourself and others, smile, laugh, enjoy, create in wholeness.   Our every breath is already supplied to us.   Do these things and you will know the peace of God Supreme that surpasses all understanding.

PS…This story started with the title From Formless to Form, but the Spirit took me down a different path.  So, the Formless story is to come soon.
