The soul in
itself alone is not other than consciousness….The
soul has no birth, no death, no beginning, and no end… This is the very being
of man, and all else is its cover, like a globe on the light…It is free by nature, and looks for freedom during its captivity.
Hazrat
Inayat Khan
If God, The Great Creator, The All Powerful, The Ultimate Goddess,
The Divine, The Abba, The Lord of Lords is really the Creator of the universe, then
God is the creator of life. And life starts with consciousness. The definition of consciousness is “the state
of being awake and aware of one’s surroundings”.
So, obviously God is awake and aware of Her surroundings from
the beginning. Hence why we often call God
the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. And if God is The Awakened One, then it is God
consciousness that awakens us. Therefore,
we are animated, brought to life by God’s consciousness in us.
And if God is eternal, then that means we are eternal.
So, if it is God’s consciousness that animate us and we are
filled with the consciousness of God, then we are filled with the same consciousness
that created this whole universe.
But how did we let our great big spirits, our God
consciousness, get so small?
So small that we live in lack and fear. I believe a huge portion of this lack and
fear is how we are trained and schooled into this world. We come in pure and powerful. What are the first things we learn? That our bodies need nourishment and shelter
and we are dependent on others for that.
As soon as we don’t receive the basics, we move into fear and
survival.
And then the world just keeps heaping it on us. We are traumatized and abused. We are taught that this culture is the
best. That our country is the best. We divide the physical world into countries,
and we must have special permissions to go from one geographic location to
another. We are taught our religion is
the one special religion. We are taught
to hoard food, money, luxuries to protect ourselves, so we will never have
lack. We are taught to win and if we
don’t win, we are taught we are losers.
We learn to fear the unknown and taught to be prejudice
against the things we don’t understand. Fear
and hatred of our differences: skin colors, religions, sexes, wealth, poverty,
health, death, homed, homeless, nationality, beliefs, smart, dumb, haves, have
nots, ghetto, suburbs, dress and styles....etcetera.
And all this false cultural programming we have allowed,
shrinks our spirits!
If we are going to birth a better world into existence. Earth 2.0.
We have to change. All change
starts with an awareness of our false programming.
When we look inward to the Great Consciousness inside of us,
in the silence, we can discern love from hatred. We can discern what tears down and what builds
up. We are programmed for greatness and
love. We just need to release our false
beliefs.
It is only in releasing anything false and becoming aware of
our true nature, that change in us begins to occur. It is a stripping of our worldly view and
realigning with our God nature.
We must look at all our perceived paradigms and ask the
question is that really true? Do I
really know that to be true? We don’t have to look outside for the
answers.
Every decision we make, we should stop and ask is this a
decision based in love. Not ooey gooey love, but love that brings about wholistic action and
wholistic results. Holy action and Holy results.
As this takes place our mind renews. Our focus shifts from the world, to the
eternal. Then we have a ‘renewal’ of our
mind, and we drop into the flow of the Unfolding of God’s Great Design.
Much love to you all.

Post Script – So,
why would we even come to a realm like this?
Let’s think about it.
Great big God consciousness stuffed into a human body. Great big genies stuffed into an itty bitty
lamp.
Thomas Aquinas answered this question in his Summa
Theologica, his ‘Summary of Theology’, a 1.8 million word tome written in
1485. He says,
“The reason man’s soul needs a body is because it is only
potentially intelligent, not knowing everything innately, but needing to
acquire knowledge through bodily experience of the sensible world.”
So, what can we experience in this world? Everything from great joy, peace, creative
powers and physical pleasure to despair, fear, destruction and physical
pain. Obviously, there are things we
need to learn or experience, that is important to our eternal existence. Interesting stuff. Kiss to you all.
