Story # 33

Written by Bill Pautler

“Every soul is born for a certain purpose,

and the light of that purpose is kindled in his soul”

      Sa‘di  (Persian poet and mystic)

Let’s pretend for a minute...What if we didn’t come here to pass a test?  Or earn gold stars? What if there is no judgement at the end?    What if we came for something far more intimate. We came to touch, to taste, to fall in love with color and chaos. This Earth—wild, sensual, imperfect— what if it was never meant to be a prison, but a playground?    What if it was designed as a canvas, a living invitation?

But somewhere along the way, we forgot.

But deep in our bones, in every laugh, every heartbreak, every sunrise, something ancient whispers:     This is the joy I came for......

What if this LifeTime is an Experiment in Joy? ... ‘The Joy Experiment’

What if, before our earthly birth, we were basking in the vast all-knowing Consciousness of the All.     Where deep joy, bliss, tranquility and harmony fill the space.   But one day we decided to leave the nest.    To experience what it is like to; Create, Play, and have Fun.  All in a very sensual environment.

What if we knew there would be a cost.   The cost of hardship, loss, defeat, pain and death.  But we came anyway.   Using the experience for pleasure.  Using the experience to understand how to use our spirit to master a physical body and manifest beauty into the Universe.    To explore our perceived limitations.  To create a Shangri-La, a physical realm that is harmonious, exotic and peaceful.

What if we thought of this earthly life like an adventure?

We go on vacations.   Vacations are an adventure.    We go on vacations to experience something new.   Places that have different cultures, languages, customs, weather, topography.   Places that we have never experienced before.   And since we aren’t in our comfy home, things happen.   Our luggage gets lost, we run into strangers that become friends, we gain a fresh perspective.     That is the whole point of a vacation and the whole point of an adventure.

All adventure teaches us about ourselves.   How we respond to new stimuli.  New stimuli forces us to be more supple, to fully engage.   It can bring the worst out of us or the best out of us.     But the adventure in some way always exposes and elevates our awareness.    It takes us to a new viewpoint, a new perspective.   An angle of viewing life differently than when we started.

We might be better off viewing this lifetime like an adventure.   Instead of some type of concocted morality test.    A place to hone skill sets, test our resolve, challenge our spirits, create and manifest in a physical, sensual environment.

And just like a vacation, this adventure creates a deliberateness in our actions. We choose to purposefully and deliberately have fun, deliberately focus on our passion, deliberately focus on loving those we encounter and deliberately striving to stay true to our higher selves.  Bringing Divine peace to every moment.

To make our adventure realistic, just like a game, it has three intriguing characteristics:

1)      We can’t perceive the future.

2)      We are veiled from the spirit world and the heavens.   And from the full essence of our true Divine Nature.

3)      And the game has a time limit, we call death.

And our participation in this adventure provides something to the All.

It provides the All with our unique experience.   An experience, a piece of knowledge, a unique perspective that could be garnered in no other way.   Because each of us is a very singular point in the cosmos.   A very singular perspective, a singular unique lens into the universe.    And our lens, our experience becomes a piece of history, a part of the vast knowledge of the All, an archive in the universal library.

So, it is our adventure that creates a particular aspect of the universe.  We are God’s manifestors!   We are manifesting the experiences of the All to the All.

So why not create a Shangri-La while we are here?  The most perfect realm possible.  Give up our pettiness.  Work out of our passions.   Be kind to ourselves.    Make ourselves joyous.   If we always choose what is right for us first, with no harm to others, we will naturally become joyous.  No judgement. Everyone gets to step into their best Divine Self, not what we think they should do or be.   And the joy of being our true selves, is like a gushing spring of pure cold water.    Refreshing ourselves and all those around us. We should be in gratitude that we have the opportunity for this adventure.   A place where we know we can push ourselves and have the resistance we need to realize the depth, and strength and joy of our Divinity.  The joy of our inherent Divine Nature.
